What is the Sedona Method?

Hale Dwoskin
The Sedona Method
The Sedona Method is a unique, simple, powerful, easy-to-learn and duplicate technique that shows you how to uncover your natural ability to let go of any painful or unwanted feeling, belief or thought in the moment. This technique was developed by Lester Levenson and made famous by Hale Dwoskin author of The Sedona Method, and creator of Letting Go, the movie.
Some Basic Tenets of the Sedona Method:
You are not your thoughts, feelings, emotions, or limiting beliefs. You have the built-in ability to let go of unwanted emotion.
Underneath all of your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and limiting beliefs, your default nature is happiness. At the core, you’re happy and empowered, but there is an accumulation of negative emotion that is obscuring your access to feeling happy and empowered.
When you learn to let go of the painful emotion, all of the suffering is gone and a clear mind remains.
With the Sedona Method, you remove the negative emotion by simply letting go. As you remove more and more negative emotion you find your inherent underlying happiness.
What Doesn't Work
When we have a “negative” or painful emotion, we usually want to get rid of it by:
- supressing the emotion,
- talking about it or crying about it
- analysing it or trying to figure it out
- striving to change the feeling, change another person or change yourself
- pushing the feeling away
- running away from it
- trying to protect ourselves from it
- defending our position
- resisting it
- denying it
“This technique stands head and shoulders about the rest.”
